Privacy Policy

Last updated November 1, 2026

This is what acabo collects about you, why, who sees it, and how to see, fix or delete it.

The short version

  • We collect what you tell us when you sign up, plus basic technical data when you visit.
  • We use it to run acabo: match creators with briefs, set up brands, track sales, pay people and keep the network safe.
  • We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for third-party ads.
  • You can ask to see, fix or delete your data at any time.
  • acabo isn’t for children under 13. Creators aged 13 to 17 need a parent or guardian’s consent.

The full text below is what counts. The short version just helps you find your way.

1. Who we are

acabo is a network that connects brands with AI video creators. In this policy, “acabo,” “we” and “us” mean acabo, which runs acabo.ai and the acabo apps. If you have a question about your data, email hello@acabo.ai.

2. What we collect

What you give us

  • Creators: your name, email, country, your experience level and, if you share one, a link to your work. Once you take part in briefs, we also hold your profile, the videos you submit and your earnings. We also hold the tax details the law requires us to collect, such as a W-9 or W-8BEN form.
  • Creators aged 13 to 17: your parent or guardian’s name, email and consent.
  • Brands and agencies: your name, work email, brand or agency name, website and anything you tell us about what you need.
  • Payment details: our payment provider (Stripe) handles card and bank details. We don’t see or store full card or bank account numbers.
  • Messages: what you send us by email or inside acabo.

What we collect automatically

  • Our hosting provider keeps standard logs when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open, and when.
  • We don’t use advertising cookies or third-party analytics today. If that changes, we’ll update this policy first, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

What we get from connected accounts

  • If a brand connects its store (like Shopify) or ad accounts (like Meta), we receive the data we need to credit and pay creators. That includes orders linked to acabo ads (order value, products, time) and ad results (spend, clicks, purchases).

Shoppers who click an acabo ad

Each acabo ad has its own tracking link. When a shopper clicks one, the link records the click and may set an identifier on the brand’s site, so the brand’s store can tell us which ad led to an order. We use this only to credit creators and bill brands, never to build profiles of shoppers. We never receive shoppers’ payment details. Each brand is responsible for telling its own shoppers about this tracking in its own privacy policy.

3. How we use it

  • To sign you up, run your account and contact you about briefs, submissions, payments and your account.
  • To match creators with the briefs that fit their styles, and to run submission slots.
  • To count the sales and results each ad drives, work out what creators have earned, pay them and bill brands.
  • To keep acabo safe: stop fraud, spam and misuse, enforce our Terms, and protect creators, brands and shoppers.
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as tax, accounting and answering lawful requests.
  • To improve acabo. For example, we learn which styles sell which kinds of products from combined or de-identified data that doesn’t identify you.
  • To send you news about acabo. You can opt out at any time with the link in any email. We’ll still send messages about your account and payments.

4. Your videos and AI

We don’t sell the videos you submit. We won’t use them to train AI models without asking you first. Brands see your work so they can review it, and use it under the license described in our Terms.

6. Who we share it with

  • Brands and creators, as the service needs. When you submit to a brief, that brand sees your name, profile and work. Creators see the briefs brands post.
  • Partners. If you joined through an agency or course partner, that partner can see your activity and earnings in its program.
  • Service providers who run parts of acabo for us, under contract and only on our instructions:
    • hosting (Vercel)
    • database (Supabase)
    • email (Google Workspace)
    • payments (Stripe)
    • store and ad platforms you choose to connect (like Shopify and Meta)
  • For legal reasons: to follow the law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights and safety of anyone.
  • If acabo changes hands: in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your data may move to the new owner. This policy keeps protecting it.

We don’t sell personal information. We don’t share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, which means ads aimed at you based on what you do on other sites.

7. Where your data is stored

acabo is based in the United States, and your data is stored there. Creators and brands join from all over the world. If you’re outside the US, your data is moved to the US. Where the law requires, we protect those transfers with safeguards like the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. How long we keep it

  • Sign-up details: until you ask us to delete them, or until we close the waitlist they were collected for.
  • Account data: while your account is open, and for a short time after you close it so we can wrap things up.
  • Payment, tax and accounting records: for as long as the law requires, usually up to 7 years.
  • Combined or de-identified data that doesn’t identify you: we may keep it.

9. Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • show you the personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy
  • fix anything that’s wrong
  • delete it, except what the law requires us to keep
  • stop using it for a particular purpose, or withdraw consent you gave
  • stop sending you news (use the link in any email)

To ask, email hello@acabo.ai. We may need to confirm it’s really you first. We’ll reply within the time the law gives us, usually 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for using your rights.

California residents have the rights above under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete and correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We don’t sell or share it. People in the EEA and UK can also complain to their local data protection authority.

10. Children and teens

acabo isn’t for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn that we have, we delete it. If you think a child under 13 has signed up, email hello@acabo.ai.

Creators aged 13 to 17 can join with the consent of a parent or guardian. Before a creator under 18 can submit work or get paid, we’ll ask for that consent and verify it. A parent or guardian can ask us at any time to see, fix or delete their teen’s information.

11. Security

We protect your data with reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we’ll tell you when the law requires it.

12. Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy as acabo grows, and change the date at the top when we do. If a change matters, we’ll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.

13. Contact

Email hello@acabo.ai with any question or request about your data.

Questions? Email hello@acabo.ai. See also our Terms of Service.
